It’s nice to know the who, what, when, where and why of the retreat, so check out all the answers below.
What's included?
The cost covers housing (shared, single-gender cabins), food (breakfasts, lunches and dinners #nom), fun (parties, ziplines, hot tubs, sports tourneys, etc.), messages, worship, and quiet time. Be sure to bring your own snacks and some cash money to buy any and all Retreat Merch!
What's the schedule?
As a YA family, we will head up to the mountains September 27th through September 29th for a 3-day, 2-night mountain vacay where we will hear amazing messages, worship with Red Rocks Worship, and escape the craziness of life.
Night one we arrive at Crooked Creek around 4pm (B.Y.O.Dinner), will get settled in our cabins, hang out, have our first message and worship session at 7:30pm, then celebrate the weekend with a dance party.
Day two, we eat breakfast, have breakout sessions (mini-messages with some discussion time), break for lunch, sports tourneys (volleyball, basketball) and free time, gather for dinner, and we end the night with another message and worship session.
The final day, we wake up, grab breakfast, clean up, and have our last session before heading home.
How do we get there?
Parking spots are limited up at Crooked Creek. So, find your friends and carpool! If you're new to YA and/or car-less, we will create a Facebook group to find some carpool friends!
What if I’m not able to afford the cost?
We more than understand the need for a scholarship. If you could, please send an email to ya@redrockschurch.com, and when a full or partial scholarship becomes available, we will reach out and get you your ticket!
What should I pack?
We will be up in the mountains in the middle of fall, here is a general list of what would be good to bring!

What’s NOT allowed?
Alcohol and recreational drugs - Even if you are of legal age, these substances are prohibited at Crooked Creek and all Red Rocks Young Adults events. (This includes any medicinal marijuana) We don’t want you to be subject to fines and getting sent home!
Pets - Although we love your animals, pets including service animals are not permitted on the grounds of Crooked Creek.
Are animals allowed?
Although we personally love fur babies (except cats), the venue does not allow for animals up at the retreat. If you have a need for a service animal, please reach out to us directly at ya@redrockschurch.com and we will see how we can best accommodate your needs.
Can I pick my roommates?
Yes! We want you all to have the best time growing with your community. At checkout, you’ll be able to put the name of someone you want to room with and we will try our best to make sure you and all your friends are staying together.
If you’re new and don’t have anyone to put down, don’t stress! We will get you in a room with amazing people and they will become your BFFs forever.
What if I have food allergies?
If you are allergic to any foods, there is an area to make note of it on the registration form. This is for legit food allergies, not just for personal preference. We suggest bringing additional snacks and meals that meet your dietary needs. We don’t want anyone getting hangry up at retreat…
