DAY 130 - I FEEL OVERWHELMED
ANDREW MATRONE, YA MINISTRY LEAD
As I was writing today’s devo, I had a completely different direction, but I felt in my heart that someone reading this today felt tired and overwhelmed. Maybe you read this today and you feel overwhelmed with life or your work, your relationships, your job, your finances… FILL IN THE BLANK. Maybe you're at a place in life where you don’t even know what you feel right now, but all you know is you just feel flat-out tired. I think it’s safe to assume that many people reading this today might just feel this way.
With that being said, instead of me writing something out, I wanted to go right to the Word of God and share some scripture with you to remind you and encourage you about what happens, when in seasons like this, we choose to engage with and lean on our creator.
Be blessed by these!
Isaiah 40:28-29… “He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.”
Matthew 11:28-29… “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
1 Peter 5:6-7… “Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.”
Isaiah 40:31… “But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”
Galatians 6:9… “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”
Philippians 4:6-7… “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Psalm 46:1… “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”
Jeremiah 31:25… “For I will satisfy the weary soul, and every languishing soul I will replenish.”
Psalm 73:26… “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”
Trust today that God is with you! Trust today that God stands beside you, he goes before you and he stands behind you!
Praying and believing for you today!
